Birdbath and Beyond 2008Bird Bath & Beyond

Make a date for Sunday, March 30, 2008 to attend New Hope Arts' Bird Bath & Beyond Auction Fundraiser - a panoply of food, festivities, and fabulous auction items.

5th Season Gifts - a New Hope shop featuring great gifts and wonderful accessories for the home will join forces with New Hope Arts Center to sponsor a second annual FUNdraiser. This year’s event is an expanded theme over last year’s “Birdhouses Bucks County Style” and will feature one of a kind, artist designed birdhouses, birdbaths, fountains, garden sculpture, paintings, and prints that interpret the theme. Doors will open at the Center at 6pm for a Preview and the Auction will begin at 7PM. Food and spirits will be served throughout the event. Advance reservations are suggested as the 2007 auction was a sold out, standing room only success and the event was one of those memorable evenings in New Hope where the community once again came together to celebrate the world class arts and artists the region is known for.

When?
Sunday, March 30, 2008. Doors open for preview at 6PM. Auction festivities begin at 7PM. The cost is $20/person and includes food and spirits and admission to the auction.

Where?
New Hope Arts Center, 2 Stockton Avenue (corner of Stockton and Bridge)

Tickets are $20 pp. For reservations: Call 215-862-2780, 215-862-9606

New Hope ticket outlets:

  • New Hope Arts Center, 2 Stockton Avenue
  • 5th Season Gifts, 30 W. Bridge Street
  • Angel’s Cards & Gifts, 310 W. Bridge Street (at the Staples Shopping Center)

New Hope Arts and 5th Season are again inviting donors to let their imaginations soar, “We wanted to build on last year’s success of the birdhouse auction and when area artist Elaine Daniels suggested the theme of “Bird Bath & Beyond” ideas started flying,” explained 5th Season co-owner Bob Mennitt.

Visit 5th Season's web site (www.5thseasongifts.com) for updates, ideas and a registration form. Build a unique bird abode, create a bird bath, a sundial or a beautiful garden gate. Donate a painting or print of a garden scene or trees, landscaping services or a garden designs. But most of all be part of the fun and magic that makes New Hope so special! Monies raised at auction will benefit the creation of a NEW New Hope Arts Center.

New Hope Arts is a 501 c3 partially funded by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Borough of New Hope. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. New Hope Arts is dedicated to increasing awareness and support of the contemporary arts and artists of the region. They are currently embarking on a project to create an arts center in downtown New Hope and monies raised through this Bird Bath & Beyond event will benefit their efforts. www.NewHopeArtsInc.org.

5th Season, neighbor to the Center, is a great shop run by two positive community minded folks who want to help the Arts Center meet its goal. With this project they have forged a partnership of commerce and culture working together to add a little more magic to our community.

There is Plenty of Time to be Creative. The deadline for Birdhouse and Beyond submissions and donations is MARCH 3.
