Sculpture
New Hope 2004
by Robin Larsen & Marilyn Bullock
April 17, 2004 - save this date because Sculpture New Hope is here again for
it’s
2nd successful year.
Sculpture
New Hope – Indoors & Out,
an exhibition featuring more than 88 pieces by
43 nationally and internationally recognized
artists, will open at Union Square in New Hope,
Pa on Saturday, April 17, 2004. The Patrons Preview
will be held from 7:00-9:00 pm. The artists will
attend and the public is invited.
The
exhibition offers an inspiring glimpse at the
amazing diversity in the art world today with
everything from classical bronze nudes and
hand carved stone work to folk art and whimsical
bas relief carvings. Artists from around the
country applied for the exhibition that includes
works from artists throughout the east coast.
The exhibition speaks very highly of the importance
of area artists in the broader American art
scene with more than one half of the exhibiting
artists from Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
The
Outdoor Sculpture artists this year
are: Harry
Gordon, Dana Stewart, Howard Kalish, Kate Graves,
Rob Ressler, Christoph Spath, and Kevin
Forest.
The
Indoor Exhibition is being held in a 4500 square
foot space (same location as last year) adjacent
to the Michener Art Museum Satellite, in the
rear
building
at Union
Square, Bridge Street in New Hope, PA. Seven
monumental works will be exhibited throughout
New Hope. All works on exhibit are for sale. A
guide to outdoor installations will be available
at the show as well as at galleries and other
