Just a quick note to thank you again for giving me the tickets to the Roxey Ballet performance of the Nutcracker. WOW! Was that just the greatest production! Everyone was first rate and my daughter I and thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, Sarah Ann was perched on the edge of her seat(she's almost 5) with her hands clasped together-ready to clap, and her little eyes wide open. It was just about the cutest thing I had ever seen...At other times, she was trying to dance with them...! My point? Well, just to thank you for such a wonderful time with my daughter. It wouldn't have been a possibility with out "winning" the tickets!

Next year, I'll have to start saving early so I can bring the rest of my family (spousal unit, and 4 sons). I don't know if you've ever gotten to go but I highly reccomend it! - M.B. (winner of Free Monthly Drawing)   (12/03)

I am inquiring if anyone including the Chamber of Commerce members have been involved with the crackdown on motorcyclists entering New Hope. The MC forums are "on fire" with news that police will stop all cyclists and tickets any infractions found. Does anyone have any data regarding what the absence of 100's of cyclists throughout the summer (and their dollars) would have? - D. Greenberg, email: dsgrn56@yahoo.com  (12/03)

I am looking for some info. on a print I purchased at a yard sale. It is of a little girl holding a doll. (the doll looks like a Raggedy Ann sort of design) On the back of the print is a sticker that says Howard Mann Art Center. The print is signed and numbered. It is number 53/150 and is titled Gabrielle, the signature seems to be a Henry C. Meyer, possibly. (Please bear with me in the actual spelling of the title or name of the artist, as I have sent it to be framed, and do not remember the specifics of the print.) It is done all in black and white color. I am very interested in the history of this piece. I had tried to contact the Howard Mann Art Center about it, but have gotten no response. If anyone can give me any info about the print, or contact info - I would be very thankful! Thank you for any help that anyone can provide me! - R.Zimmerman, e-mail: sargrach@comcast.net   (12/03)

It woudl be a great idea to have a section devoted to THINGS TO DO WITH CHILDREN (10-12 and under) in New Hope/Lambertville. A lot of NH/L is adult in flavor (kids have only so much energy for shopping and galleries and other hands-off experiences, wineries and fine dineries are of course out), and surely there must be more for them than just the Train and the Barge Rides. Such a listing might include kid-focused shops, restaurants where kids are welcome, a list of local playgrounds, free activities, historical sites that cater to youngsters, a (very important) list of where parents can easily find restroom facilities for their kids ("I have to go" = NOW), maybe even a neat Scavenger Hunt list that parents can print to take-with (find the crooked house on the canal, cannonballs, the wooden indian and renaissance pageboy statues, etc). All of these might give parents with youngsters that much more incentive to visit. Thanks for listening!
--S.MAKO (who's been coming to the NH/L area since I was a kid in the early 1960's) - S Mako, makosphere@cs.com   (10/03)

Ed Note:  I agree with you - I think this would be a great idea.  I need someone to help me with this project though.  Anyone out there listening?

I am currently a senior at the University of Buffalo majoring in Environmental Design. In our senior studio we are taking a look at the community around our South campus in order to help the neighborhood groups advertise and promote their groups through the development of maps, pamphlets, and a website. Currently my studio is researching towns and cities that have developed such things including a logo. I am writing to you to inquire if it would be possible to receive any marketing information that you might have, as well as anything of benefit regarding your logo and the development of it, if there is one. Thank you for your time. - P Merriam II, zxeron@aol.com (10/03)

Hello New Hope residents. This may seem like a strange request but I am curious about the area. Currently I live in Florida, where art is as dead as most of the people in the state. Sometime next year I plan on relocating back up north, and I've always favored PA and NJ (originally from NJ)... I like the closeness to NYC and Philly (I'm a performing musician and producer). Just wondering what all of you think of the area... all surrounding areas, too... (30 mile radius). Please respond to this message as I am very serious about learning more about the area. - skip@beautysconfusion.net  (09/03)
