With spring arriving and the time for quick family getaways nears, visitors, especially those with little ones, may find themselves looking for a family restaurant with a large menu that will guarantee there will be something for everyone. If so, The Eagle Diner on York Road is the solution for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

This restaurant was recently acquired by Eagle—the original Eagle is in Warminster—and the owners are busy transforming the look and feel of the old New Hope Diner into a new family restaurant that will serve the needs of the community and travelers looking for something familiar.

Clean, well-lit, and easy to get to, the Eagle offers everything you will find in your local neighborhood diner. Owner Tony Karamitros is committed to providing a great dining experience with great food. All the baking is done on the premises.

Eagle Cheesecake

32 oz. cream cheese
1 C. sugar
1/3 C. flour
4 eggs (beaten)
1/2 C. sour cream
3/4 C. heavy cream
1/4 C. lemon filling
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together cream cheese and sugar. Add each additional ingredient in the order shown. Bake @ 350° in a springform pan which is placed in another shallow pan with about 1/2 inch or so of water. Bake for about 1 hour. Let cool completely. Finish with topping of your choice.
